A work visa if you want to work in your own business in New Zealand. You must have NZD $100,000 to invest, a business plan, and be able to claim 120 points on the Immigration New Zealand points scale for Entrepreneur Work Visas.
Applicant must be a "fit and proper person", and never have been investigated by the Serious Fraud Office or the NZ police related to business dealings. No convictions for an offence involving dishonesty. No involvement in business fraud or financial impropriety.
Applicant must meet a minimum standard of English.
Applicant must have a minimum of $100,000 NZD of lawfully acquired funds to invest in New Zealand in addition to sufficient funds to maintain themselves and any dependent family members. The minimum investment amount may be waived in limited circumstances.
Applicant must have a detailed Business Plan.
Occupational Registration may be necessary if required by law
Business must be established within 12 months
A partner and/or dependent child(ren) can be included in the application
Applicants must meet health and character requirements
Applicant must meet 120 points under the points scale for the Entrepreneur Work Visa category
